Dr. Tanya Lokot published a piece in Global Voices on the 9th of May, 2021, about the removal, by Facebook, of both Ukrainian pro-government and opposition networks, under the suspicion of ‘coordinated inauthentic behaviour’. The term refers to accounts that were set up to engage in coordinated manipulation of public opinion or to share disinformation, and what was intriguing, she argues, is that one of the groups had ties to Ukraine’s ruling party, Sluha Narodu (Servant of the People).
