Our podcast episode #4 brings an interview with Dr. Tetyana Lokot, Associate Professor in the School of Communications at Dublin City University and MEDIATIZED EU Project Coordinator. Dr. Lokot was interviewed by Dr. Samuel Doveri Vesterbye, Director of the European Neighborhood Council (ENC). In the interview, she guides us through her team’s research progress as of May 2023, covering the latest analysis of Ireland’s attitudes vis-à-vis the European Union (EU).
The DCU team has completed media analysis of Irish discourses about the EU, and has embarked on research about elite perceptions and framing of the European project. These aspects are investigated through interviews with political and media actors in Ireland. The media analysis and interviews are crucial elements in MEDIATIZED EU’s mixed-methods research approach.
