The papers were respectively titled “Representations of EU migration policies and practices in the Portuguese media”, presented by Luiza Almeida Bezerra, in the panel “Trans/national political engagement: actors, drivers and politics” (abstract available here), and “Representing the EU in political contests: Mediatized discourses on Europeism and populism in Portugal”, presented by Moara Assis Crivelente, in the panel on “Right-Wing and Authoritarian Populist Experiences” (abstract available here). Both papers are co-authored by the presenters and Dr. Maria Raquel Freire, the project’s Coordinator at CES, and Dr. Sofia José Santos.
