The MEDIATIZED EU project is nearing its final stretch and we invite all those interested in the topic to join us for our capstone conference. Our final event will be held in Brussels and Online on September 10, 2024. The conference, Mediatized Discourses on Europeanisation: A Changing Landscape, will showcase the key results of our research on mediatized representations of the EU. We will also provide evidence-based recommendations for EU policymakers on how to ensure a healthy, pluralist and constructive debate about Europeanisation in the European media and public sphere.
Over the past four years, our research teams in Belgium, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Ireland, Portugal and Spain have conducted wide-ranging media analysis, in-depth interviews with political and media elites, and public opinion surveys. We also held deliberative workshops to communicate our findings to the public. Now, we want to share these results and to have a constructive conversation about their relevance in light of the challenges the European project is facing today. We will be joined by excellent keynote speakers and panellists who will reflect on the changing European landscape.
