Our podcast episode #8 brings an interview with Dr. Gracia Abad, Senior lecturer in International Relations and Research Coordinator at the School of Social Sciences of Nebrija University (UANE). Dr. Abad was interviewed by Dr. Samuel Doveri Vesterbye, Director of the European Neighborhood Council (ENC). She guides us through her team’s research progress, addressing the latest analysis of how the Spanish media covers and represents issues related to the European Union (EU).
The UANE team has completed media analysis of Spanish discourses about the EU, and has embarked on research about elite perceptions and framing of the European project. These aspects are investigated through interviews with political and media actors in Spain. The media analysis and interviews are crucial elements in MEDIATIZED EU’s mixed-methods research approach.
